Avondale Golf Club is a Private 18 holes golf course located in Palm Desert, California.
Avondale first opened for play in 1969. The course was designed by Jimmy Hines.
The course has some very demanding holes on the front nine with rolling terrain and water hazards that come into play on six holes. The greens are extremely fast and hard to read. The fairways are lined with trees and most are well-bunkered.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,782 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,781 yards. The longest hole on the course is #18, a 532 yard par-5. The shortest hole on the course is the #15, a 156 yard par-3.
Watch out for #6, a par-4, 389-yard challenge. This is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The par-3 156 yard 15th hole is considered to be the easiest hole on the course.
